George V 1930-1931 Northwest Frontier Miniature Campaign Medal
A very good miniature example of an unnamed George V Northwest Frontier campaign medal. With all fixings intact and made of sterling silver. Miniatures are rarely named.
The George V North West Frontier 1930-31 campaign medal was awarded for British and Indian Army service during the Red Shirt and Afridi Rebellions on the North-West Frontier of India from 23 April 1930 to 22 March 1931, recognizing contributions to maintaining British control in a volatile region.
The medal was struck in silver for combatants and miniature versions were produced in sterling silver.
Examples of recipients could have included those from the Royal West Surrey Regiment, the Northumberland Fusiliers and the Royal Warwickshire Regiment as well as Indian Army contingents.
