2nd Battalion (City of London) Royal Fusiliers shoulder title

£45.00Price
Quantity

This piece, along with others, comes directly from the collection of a gentleman's great grandfather who acquired them through trading home comforts and other items with troops stationed in Eastbourne on the South [Sussex] coast of England during the war prior to deployment to France. They are genuine wartime pieces.

The 2nd Battalion of the London Regiment was a territorial force and retained it's links to the Royal Fusiliers as can be seen in the flaming grenade.

The Haldane reforms of 1908 formed the London Regiment and this form of shoulder title can be seen from anywhere between 1908 right through to the interwar years in the 1930s.

A fantastic brass example with solid provenance collected by a wartime child.
